63 Digging Deeper Questions

We all want to know those in our Small Group better.  Here are sixty-three questions that we can ask to “dig deeper” into the lives of our fellow group members. The higher the number, the deeper the question.

  14. When is the last time you’ve gone on vacation? Where was that?
  15. Do you have a favorite vacation spot?
  16. Tell me about your wife and family.
  17. How did you meet your wife?
  18. How long have you been married?
  19. Where did you get married?
  20. Where did you honeymoon?
  21. How long have you been married?
  22. Tell me your testimony.
  23. How have you grown since coming to faith in Christ?
  24. What does your time in the Word look like?
  25. How often are you in the Word?
  26. What book(s) in the Bible are you reading?
  27. What theological books are you reading? What are your favorites?
  28. What is your prayer life like?
  29. Have you attended any conferences or trainings that have helped you grow spiritually?
  30. When is the last time you confessed your sin to God and repented of that sin?
  31. How are you serving your wife?
  32. How often are you praying with your wife and for your wife?
  33. When was the last time you took your wife on a date?
  34. How have you shown your wife that she is more important than your work?
  35. When was the last time your surprised your wife with a special blessing (like a night out or a lunch date)?
  36. Right now, how would you say that your love for your wife is reflecting God’s love for the Church?

  56. Have you been isolated or felt isolated this week?
  57. How are you renewing your mind with truth?
  58. Are you believing any lies about yourself or about sin that you need to confess and bring into the light?
  59. Have you been above reproach in your financial dealings this month?
  60. Are you harboring any bitterness or resentment towards anyone?
  61. Have you been involved in the sin of gossip (or slander, a critical spirit, harshness, outbursts of anger, impatience, lack of love) this week?
  62. Have you been with a member of the opposite sex in a way that was inappropriate or would be viewed as using poor judgment?

Assistant Pastor of Small Groups & Membership

Bob first joined staff at College Park as a Pastoral Resident in 2011 and has served in several important roles since that time. In 2018, Bob became the Assistant Pastor of Small Groups & Membership. In this role, Bob gives leadership and direction to the Small Group ministry by recruiting, training, and supporting Small Group Leaders and Coaches, as well as overseeing the membership process and covenant member care. 

Bob is passionate about seeing men and women enter into community with others to find hope together. He enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
