• How would I want to be cared for?

And he offers practical recommendations, such as:

1. Check your facial expression. And check your heart: are you surprised at sin?
2. Thank them for sharing. Acknowledge that it’s hard to share.
3. Affirm your care
4. Pray for them right there
5. Ask them, “What can I do to help?”
